Lot Description

Majestic Radios were produced in Chicago by the Grigsby Grunow Company, with this beautiful model first seeing production as early as 1937. We believe, but have been unable to verify, that this popular model was produced for several years, ending production prior to America's entry to World War II, marking it as a potential receiver for FDR's classic "Day of Infamy" broadcast. Masterfully refurbished in a unique navy blue and black design, with cream colored dials, frequency pointer and grill cloth, this is an extremely handsome and understated piece. A bit of fully restored, Mint condition history (complete with original back plate) sits before you here and will certainly be the centerpiece of any den or living area.
